Why pellet food is good for rabbit?
We can do a search engine on any Google or yahoo website they have definition why pellet food is good for rabbit.
Their mainly reason is;
Pellet food has all vitamins in it I don’t deny that. It is facts.
Healthy for rabbit we rear at home
It all dry hay and it compressed into pellet form. Do you ever wonder how they make pellet?
And, why do they always said is good and so on. Often they said do not give too much treats to your litter ones because, on the surface it look colourful and nice but, to a animal they are color blind they cannot actually see it.
So, no matter what color or design we place inside their cages it make the cage look beautiful and awesome I don’t deny I do that to my animal at home.
I feel that they deserve a warm and beautiful life when they live with us, share with me everything. Be it good or bad.
Back to the topic,
We can commonly see mixed rabbit dry food in pet shop first think in your mind is
“Will my rabbit eats it?” I tell you, as long as it smells nice they well!
It is simple,
Example;
Marukan brand you can see most of their varieties are mainly with beautiful color meaning greenery you get to see dry banana/carrot in it. I bet if you were a rabbits you would want to eat it too!
No kidding as a human myself I tasted it before, even dog food. It is completely the same as human just that a bit no taste! Just have its nice barking cookies smell. If you taste a normal pellet you will say yuck! Totally tasteless grass ~
A rabbit diet needs to consist 80 percent of pellet to keep them healthy and prevent them to have any health problem.
Hay is to keep them away from lung cancer and such.
Some people said that mixed food is not healthy for rabbit? Because they do not have better vitamins that pellet gave. And, mix food to make it colourful so that owner like us will buy.
My opinion is;
I feed pellet and mixed. And, even treats. Too!
Both of it is good, I believe rabbit would like to taste something different but often try not to give them too much of mixed food if not I bet that they are going to addict to it. For younger rabbit they should eat pellet so that they can get all the nutrition and be a fat and healthy rabbit.
Some people feed them with pellet, they added vitamin that can be purchase from pet shop.
Always read the instruction at the back before giving it to your little ones.
Different hay has different protein level and hay can be defined for young or adult stay tune for that.
Will post more example of the mixed pellet that we can see nowadays and even those we can see it stop manufacture it.
